Gyokuro is the essence of Japanese green tea. What makes the Gyokuro tea leaf unique is that, for the final month before harvesting it is covered by shade. As a result the tea contains increased dose of caffeine and theanine. Its subtle refined taste with hints of sweetness, delicate color infusion, relaxes the mind and body. Gyokuro is usually drunk on special occasions.
Gyokuro is the essence of Japanese green tea – the most exquisite variety. Sencha tea is the most popular country of the rising sun. The combination of these two gives a unique flavor and aroma to the drink bo be enjoyed on special occasions.
Japanese green tea Gyokuro and Sencha differ in the way of cultivation. Young leaves of Gyokuro are shielded from the sun about 20 days after budding. This gives a deep taste and sweet aroma.
Sencha ripens in the sun – it leaves a touch of bitterness. A balanced combination of the two gives a dark-green brew, sweet and full of flavor.
